Reconnecting: My Own Journey

When I was 16 I suffered from severe panic attacks. Nobody around me understood what was going on with me and I was left alone with it. When I was going through an attack or an anxious phase I often felt that there is nothing worse than what I am going through at that moment. I remember thinking (more than once) that even dying would probably be less scary and painful than this utter disconnection and powerlessness I was experiencing. Being the stubborn and idealistic person I am, I never gave up and tried everything to get myself out of this. I tried many different things – amongst them traditional therapy. Nothing really helped. Until I discovered Yoga. I remember breathing and feeling into my body for the very first time and how empowering that was. Yoga, as I understood and learned it, forced me to stay with the fear as opposed to running away from it. It wasn’t easy but for the first in a long time did I connect again with who I am. I was fascinated by this seemingly counterintuitive approach in which confrontation and acceptance of the unwanted actually led to healing and positive change. The rest of my life from then on has been dedicated to the search and exploration of true healing, self-discovery, and growth. At the age of 19, I traveled to India and learned Sivananda Yoga with a Brahmanic teacher. At 21 I accomplished a Yoga teacher training in Hatha Yoga and have taught Yoga ever since. In between, I also studied 6months of Tibetan Buddhist philosophy at Kathmandu University in Nepal.

So before I became a Reconnection Therapist

I Ied classes in introspective yoga – (which is what I call the yoga I practice and believe in). I taught my students to *stay with the pain*. To breathe into the tension. To stay in the postures for longer as comfortable while breathing regularly and observing the waves of frustration, and eventually acceptance and relaxation. Only by being able to face and acknowledge our hardships can we overcome them. Even though today there is very rarely use of physical yoga postures or asanas in my Therapy Sessions, the underlying principles of Yoga are still at the basis of my work. Yoga, in its literal sense, means Re-union. Seeing and experiencing life and yourself as a whole, not trying to cut off or run away from any discomfort you encounter on your path. But to courageously confront and even embrace it in such a way that it is transformed into something bearable and ultimately even an enjoyable driving force.

In 2014 I started working one on one with people, helping them integrate in a more intensive and thorough way what I have always understood to be the essence of Yoga. The sessions quickly became of a therapeutic nature. All the while, I never stopped discovering and learning new ways of healing and growing. And so in 2016 I discovered the wonder of Systemic Family Constellation. Never before – in my by then 11 year healing journey – had I experienced a technique that could heal past trauma and resolve personal, as well as family and soul related issues, as profoundly and quickly. Three months later, I started my 18 months long professional training in Berlin with Donald Guss and quickly integrated what I learned into the sessions with my clients.

4 years ago I moved to Tel Aviv, Israel.

Besides birthing and raising my beautiful son, Ari, I built my Business from scratch. I have continued my professional training by participating in 2 modules by the School of Family Constellation. I am also currently in the middle of a four-year training called “through the depth” taught by Or Shahar. The main focus of this approach is to heal deeply from the root and to learn how to “be with what is” – just like I believe in. I am constantly learning and growing and will never stop doing so.
Today, my focus while working with my clients is Systemic (Family) Constellation. I also integrate everything I have learned and elaborated on above into the sessions – as well as anything new I learn on the go. Always staying faithful to my deep understanding that everyone has their answers inside, and that I am only guiding you back to your own guidance system.
